    In order to lose 20 pounds in 2-3 weeks, you would have to eat less than 400 calories a day and exercise every day for 2 hours (cardio, etc..) Very unhealthy and must likely you will gain all the weight back and more once you adjust to a more normal eating pattern.

    For your goal to be reasonable, you’d have to give yourself 2-3 MONTHS to lose that kind of weight.

    For most people, unless you are morbidly obese, that would be impossible.

    No one can tell you how much you lose weight by swimming or jogging, because it depends on several things– how much you are eating, your metabolism, even how much you weigh– like someone who weighed 200 lbs jogging 1 mile is working harder than someone who weighs 100 lbs and will lose more weight of course because they are carrying a bigger weight load.

    Can I tell you why you are going to fail? You made "fast" the priority and set up an unrealistic goal. Studies show people who lose weight faster tend to gain it back, plus extra. Not to mention, a sudden weight loss can screw up your metabolism and eternally make your weight a struggle.

    Now, go talk to people who have actually lost and kept off weight– they will tell you the important thing was just changing some bad habits and sticking with it permanently.

    The weight loss will take it’s time, and chances are nothing you do will take of 20 lbs in 3 weeks, however no matter what you take off, it will be better than what you are now, and you’ll be on your way.

    Eat right. Exercise. There is no secret to weight loss, it’s just more of a mental battle than a physical one.

    You can’t really target WHERE you lose weight. I suggest you stay away from processed foods, fast food, fried foods. Eat leaner meats, and more fruits and vegetables.
