Isn’t it that different medicines and supplements are advertised in television and even on the internet? These come with their different explanations and side effects. Of course, consumers do not really like to take medicines that will have a bad effect on them so people really try to understand what they are putting in their bodies. However, there are times when too much information about products is given and it all gets mixed up. Omega 3 Fatty acids that can be found in fish oil has anti coagulants or blood thinners. When there is an injury, the blood needs to clot in order to stop the bleeding. Some people have said that omega 3 fatty acids will make the bleeding harder to clot and stop but this is not true. Do remember that taking Omega 3 fatty acids is not dangerous. However, if you are already taking medicines that have anti coagulant properties, it is best to consult your doctor first before taking Omega 3 fatty acid pills.
Another one of the fish oil side effects is fish oil repeat or “fish burp”. This happens when the impurities in some fish oil bring about digestive disturbances. There are ways to prevent this side effect. One is make sure that the fish oil or fish oil supplement that you are taking is made of exceptionally pure oils. Another is make sure to take the supplement before eating to make sure that the fish oil will help in the absorption of nutrients that you will get from the food you eat. Lastly, there are pills in the market that are coated with enteric shells which are designed to not dissolve in the most acidic part of the system.
Related to this issue is there are times when some people develop stomach pains and/or diarrhea. In order to avoid this, take note of the things that you can do about the “fish burp”.
Lastly, there are people who are allergic to some supplements. It is best that you check first if you are allergic to a drug or supplement before taking it. There are some people who have reported to have had allergic reactions prior to taking fish oil but according to studies, these people are actually allergic to seafood and not the pills or supplements. Do note that high quality supplements do not contain seafood properties that can heighten your allergies.
