I want to know how to lose weight really quickly my goal is 20 pounds in2-3 weeks. Can anyone please give me advice such as exercises that are good for weight loss or amounts in distance/time one must run, swim, etc to lose X amount of weight. Please no links to websites that make you buy pills or workout plans, etc just good old advice

Thank You!

You can’t really target WHERE you lose weight. I suggest you stay away from processed foods, fast food, fried foods. Eat leaner meats, and more fruits and vegetables.

That’s going to be a big challenge already. Check out this website on food and exercise tips if you need more help: http://www.weight-lose-fast.com

Counteract the Rainy Day principle. If you decrease your calorie count without necessarily increasing your physical activity level, your body is going to crash. Its going to say to itself: Holy sh*t! I better store these calories as fat, because Im not getting enough of them and I dont want to die. When you exercise, you set your bodys process to burn instead of save.

In light of the coming holy month of ramadhan, I will be fasting a month.

In this month and a half of summer, I gained a lot of muscle. I would really hate to lose all the weight I gained while fasting. Can anyone advise me on how to prevent weight loss?

The first thing that comes to mind is to exercise after eating; would that be effective?

Thanks!
I think I made a mistake in explaining my question. Let me rephrase:

How can I prevent muscle loss?

The reason for ramadhan is that it is a month that is meant to allow an individual to practice patience, and spirituality. Furthermore, it is physically healthy:

http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC156352/

"We report that when C57BL/6 mice are maintained on an intermittent fasting (alternate-day fasting) dietary-restriction regimen their overall food intake is not decreased and their body weight is maintained. Nevertheless, intermittent fasting resulted in beneficial effects that met or exceeded those of caloric restriction including reduced serum glucose and insulin levels and increased resistance of neurons in the brain to excitotoxic stress."

(headline is explicit)

It’s not much weight loss. I’m a muslim. Since you eat before sunrise and eat after sunset. Then you are not missing out on much. Unless you don’t eat enough when you are suppose to. Most people don’t loss weight during Ramadan. I guess you can exercise after eating, but I would recommend it being after sunset so you can drink when you are thirsty.
