Isn’t it that different medicines and supplements are advertised in television and even on the internet? These come with their different explanations and side effects. Of course, consumers do not really like to take medicines that will have a bad effect on them so people really try to understand what they are putting in their bodies. However, there are times when too much information about products is given and it all gets mixed up. Sometimes, even you read information and details about a certain product; it still won’t help because of the fancy terms used by the manufacturers. Right now though, we will be focusing on fish oil and the side effects that it might give. This article would also explain that the side effects are not really bad.
Omega 3 Fatty acids that can be found in fish oil has anti coagulants or blood thinners. When there is an injury, the blood needs to clot in order to stop the bleeding. Some people have said that omega 3 fatty acids will make the bleeding harder to clot and stop but this is not true. Do remember that taking Omega 3 fatty acids is not dangerous. However, if you are already taking medicines that have anti coagulant properties, it is best to consult your doctor first before taking Omega 3 fatty acid pills.
Another one of the fish oil side effects is fish oil repeat or “fish burp”. This happens when the impurities in some fish oil bring about digestive disturbances. There are ways to prevent this side effect. One is make sure that the fish oil or fish oil supplement that you are taking is made of exceptionally pure oils. Another is make sure to take the supplement before eating to make sure that the fish oil will help in the absorption of nutrients that you will get from the food you eat. Lastly, there are pills in the market that are coated with enteric shells which are designed to not dissolve in the most acidic part of the system.
Related to this issue is there are times when some people develop stomach pains and/or diarrhea. In order to avoid this, take note of the things that you can do about the “fish burp”.
Lastly, there are people who are allergic to some supplements. It is best that you check first if you are allergic to a drug or supplement before taking it. There are some people who have reported to have had allergic reactions prior to taking fish oil but according to studies, these people are actually allergic to seafood and not the pills or supplements. Do note that high quality supplements do not contain seafood properties that can heighten your allergies.

Not only is posture important for the image you want to project, but it’s also important for maintaining the health of your non-renewable joints.
The bad news here is that many women do not know how to improve their posture in an effective manner.
Thus, here is a guide for improving your posture immediately:
1. Limit the use of high heels: Although they may look sexy, they can alter the biomechanics of your feet. You see, high heels make your calf muscles very tight. This in turn makes it virtually impossible for you to maintain proper form when exercising.
2. Don’t make a stepper the focus of your cardio routine: If you don’t have tight hip flexors this really isn’t an issue. However, keep in mind that most women with desk jobs will have tight hip flexors. So try to avoid high heels as much as possible.
3. Don’t remain seated for too long: Being in the seated position puts an abnormally high amount of stress on your lower back. This in turn will accelerate the degeneration of your discs. And once your back degenerates it’s virtually impossible to restore it.
4. Ergonomically optimize your workstation: A workstation that isn’t setup properly will degrade your posture at an alarmingly fast rate. The key here is to elevate your monitor until it is at eye level and make sure your shoulders don’t come forward.
5. Pull more: As you remain in the seated position for extended periods of time, your upper back muscles will become longer and weaker. Thus, it’s important to exercise them so that they become shorter and stronger. This will help correct your posture.
6. Don’t use your chest so much: Doing this can further exacerbate a forward hunch or rounded shoulders. You see, when your shoulders round forward your chest muscles become tight. If you exercise those same chest muscles with a high frequency you make them even tighter.
Correcting your posture is the best thing you can do for the image you project. It will also protect your joints for many years to come!

Vitamins and essential minerals are just that – essential to the diet. Vitamins and essential minerals must be incorporated into the diet every day of every year. Long-term failure to include enough of one vitamin or essential mineral over a long period of time will cause disease, tissue degeneration and cell death. Over time, the entire body will start to die. Clearly, this sequence of events is not consistent with the idea of Healthy Aging, since deficiencies of essential vitamins and minerals is the least healthy way to age. In the model of healthy aging, guaranteeing adequate consumption of these essential vitamins and minerals is the first step. Without this necessary first step, the following pillars of healthy aging crumble quickly.
By now, in this enlightened, affluent, highly-educated era, it would seem reasonable to expect that no one in the US could possibly suffer from a deficiency of a vitamin or essential mineral. Or so the US government and the American Medical Association may have you believe. Unfortunately, it just isn’t so.
According to US government data, over 90 percent of American adults fail to consume enough calcium daily to satisfy the current government-sanctioned minimal dietary standards. The same statistics hold true for magnesium and vitamin E. Additionally, 75 percent of American adults are deficient in copper or zinc; half of whom are deficient in vitamin C, vitamin D or chromium; and between 10 and 15 percent are deficient in one or more of the B-vitamins. Interestingly enough, even though we are facing the epidemic of obesity in the United States, widespread nutritional deficiencies are out of hand.
You might ask, “So what? I don’t feel unhealthy.” It’s not like we have problems with: * Gum Health (vitamin C and magnesium) * Hair Health and rough skin (B-vitamins) * Prostate Health (vitamin D, vitamin E, selenium and zinc) * Healthy Blood Sugar (chromium, magnesium and vanadium) * Bone Health (calcium, magnesium, boron, vitamin D, vitamin C, vitamin E, vitamin K) * Memory Issues (folate/folic acid, thiamin, choline, vitamin E, selenium) * Heart Health (selenium, calcium, magnesium, vitamin C, vitamin E and vitamin D) * Periodontal Health (calcium, magnesium, vitamin C and vitamin D) * Weak Immune Systems (selenium, zinc, vitamin C and vitamin D) * Feeling Tired (B-vitamins and magnesium).
These issues are so prevalent in our population that it’s easy not to be concerned about them. The more one thinks about them, though, the more one realizes the problems they can lead to. The irony of it all is that these areas can all be supported simply by ensuring adequate intakes of essential vitamins and minerals.
In addition to the prevention of the classically recognized nutritional deficiency diseases, healthy intakes of vitamins and minerals can do the body a world of good. A few stellar examples should make the point.
